ABOUT US
Who we are:
The Sewing and Service team was founded in a high school setting, then expanded to other locations. We are two rising seniors who want to make a difference in the world through community and compassion. Sophie Pinstein (pictured on the left) is our founder, and Annette Pinstein (pictured on the right) is her media coordinator and avid supporter.
OWL PROJECT
Our first big project was to make one hundred stuffed owls for Humanity Rises. We worked on this on Sunday mornings for the duration of the school year, then independently when the pandemic hit. Thanks to the support of our amazing volunteers, we've done it! We will ship them shortly. Eventually, we will update you with photos of the delivered stuffies!
OUR NEWEST INITIATIVE: FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS
This newest project aims to benefit recipients of medical care in Humanity Rises' care centers. We have been in contact with one of their organizers, who suggested we make small goodies to give to kids after medical procedures. Hopefully, this will take off soon!
